ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Mary Ngwanda Georges
I was born and raised in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where I earned my first degree in nursing and began my career serving families at the Medical Sport Center of Kinshasa. My early years were shaped by faith, service, and a deep commitment to helping others — values that have guided my entire life. In 1990, I immigrated to the United States, facing the challenges of a new language and culture. I worked hard in dry cleaning businesses and eventually became a small business owner, determined to build a stable foundation for my family and future.
My desire to uplift my community inspired me to pursue higher education. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services and a Master’s degree in Organizational Management and Leadership from Springfield College. With a heart for women, families, and immigrants, I founded a community non-profit, Victory Women of Vision (VWV), in 2003. For more than two decades, I have served as its Executive Director, helping women gain confidence, leadership skills, and access to opportunities that
strengthen their families and communities.
My advocacy expanded beyond organizational leadership. I founded and served as president of the Congolese Community of New Hampshire, and in 2022, I was elected as a national leader of the Congolese Community of the United States (CCUS). In Manchester, I have served as a minister and preacher on local television, an elected member of the Manchester School Board, and Selectwoman for Ward 3. Today, I continue my public service as a State Representative in the New Hampshire House, where I work to ensure fairness, dignity, and opportunity for all.
Throughout my life, I have been a strong advocate for women’s and children’s rights, minority students, immigrant families, and survivors of violence. I believe deeply in equal access to education, justice, and opportunity. As a legislator, I proudly stand for seniors, ensuring that every older adult — regardless of background, income, or immigration status — receives the respect, protection, and support they deserve. My mission is rooted in compassion, community, and the belief that every person has value and a voice.
